Pro volleyball coach KB Rivera resigns after one regular season game due to health concerns

Miguel Rivera (Spain), the head coach of the KB Insurance men's professional volleyball team, has voluntarily resigned due to health reasons after missing a single game of the regular season.

KB Insurance announced today (Nov. 21), “Coach Rivera took a break due to health issues after the Pro Volleyball Cup last month. The club expected him to return to the team before the season, but his health did not improve, so the club decided to accept his decision to resign voluntarily.”

Miguel Rivera, formerly the head coach of the Spanish men's national team, took over the reins of KB Insurance in May of this year and made his debut as KB Insurance's head coach in a cup competition, 메이저사이트 but he didn't manage a single game in the regular season before his health deteriorated.

“It's unfortunate that I couldn't finish the season with the team,” Rivera said through the club, adding, ”I feel very sorry for the players and the organization.” KB Insurance has decided to promote head coach Martin Blanco to acting head coach for the rest of the season. Martin is a former Argentina national middle blocker and has experience as a head coach in Italy, Russia, and Bulgaria.
